Jaune Toujours – Top 3 in DWDD – De Wereld Draait Door

How did we never know we were at 3 in the playlist of De Wereld Draait Door!? Fools.
We are of course aware of the reason why the program no longer exists, but there was always good music there and we are grateful that we got to make our appearance there.
Even more grateful that someone was willing to pour it into a playlist

Jaune Toujours – new album VERTIGO – review on BRUZZ

” With an accordion instead of guitars and a wall of horns to crank up the energy some more, hot social issues were never avoided. Neither at Vertigo, it turned out in a comfortably filled hall of fans, who had “even descended to Brussels from Ypres – Respect!” on a Wednesday night. “It took blood, sweat, tears and a corona crisis,” the frontman said before kicking off the concert with ‘Changement du plan:’ ”On bougera ensemble ou on ne bougera pas!”

Many thanks to music journalist Tom Peeters for the beautiful report on our concert in the AB – Ancienne Belgique for BRUZZ !

Jaune Toujours – Album VERTIGO, review on Rootstime

“It’s been a long wait, but Brussels’ world ensemble Jaune Toujours is back with their seventh studio album, and it’s absolutely worth it! For nearly 30 years, they’ve been lighting up every party I DJ with their unique, irresistible sound. This is a seasoned band that unapologetically does its own thing, ignoring commercial trends while staying deeply socially engaged.  They tackle big issues like wars, refugee crises, climate change, and authoritarian politics, weaving these themes into their music with bold creativity and no boundaries. Their sound is as multilingual as Brussels itself, driven by groove, brass, and accordion—what they call “kick-ass roots in its most energetic form!”
